"Moon," a Poem

By Sabrina Laurent

Paper moon
That crackles in the sky
Crumpled by the wind,
Swept away by the gust

Copper moon
That reflects the light of the sun
Her fiery neighbour
Burning and fatal

Blood moon
My obsession, my nightmare
That observes me every night
Motionless and mocking

Moon, moon,
You are the splendour of my nights
The companion of my loneliness
The reflection of my soul

I love you and I hate you
Like a twin sister
That abandons me each day
In the lights of dawn
